Merci Bob
Great work on your truck, I will soon start on my own. But I need tips for achieving the coasts moldings among them top to bottom gauge. On top I follow bodywork; to draw the painting between moldings line do you have an address in Belgium for parts with cheap Thanks Bob

L'amerique etait la place pour moi pendent les dernières cinq annees...bonne chance!! hey bob, i used the internet for practically the complete build up of my truck. Sites like e-bay helped me out really well.make contact with e-bay sellers, sometimes they have parts laying around which they havent placed on internet yet.An other site very important to me is LMCtruck, they make parts for our trucks.Their catalog is free, check out the site !www.lmc.com .Occasionally i did find some stuff in Belgium where i live but nothing special...The USA has been the place to be for me for these past 5 years.. Good luck!

yo bob, i will measure them exactly for ya, but: suppose it's for the door, that one's easy: the upper molding edge (above the doorlock)goes exactly on the edge where the door makes an upward curve (see the pic you drew on).
the lower molding(on the door!) -chances are there are holes where there was a molding back in the day... -if not , open the door and look at the inside , look at the edge of the door (on the doorhandle side), lets say about 1/2 foot ( about 15centimeters) from the bottom of the door up, yo will see a factory foreseen space where the hole should be drilled and the space is also for the bolt with nut that will go in.
so, for the doors it's pretty easy..
look, tomorrow, i will take pics of what i mean, it's easy. for the rest of the truck i'd say, line out the doors and go from there espescially for the front side fenders, espescially the lower moldings.the upper moldings are easy, always follow the edge that changes into that curve.
caution: the lower molding that runs from under the taillights towards the rear wheel well is a weird one, not only do you have the turn under the taillights but the molding runs off a bit downward , check pictures of our trucks on this here bowties webpage or other pages where you will see it clearly before you start!
! take a good look at the moldings before applying! look at that black painted line on the moldings !
i stayed as original as possible when it came to screwing the moldings on . the 3M taped small square plastic blocks that attach the most part of the moldings on the truck, kinda sucked for me, the 3M tape was too thick, the moldings were too far from the truck, so i cutted off the 3M tape from the plastic square blocks and applied some tec 7 instead, a small dot on each block does the truck, tec 7 is great stuff!
good luck! kurt

Merci Kurt
Encore 1000 merci
Bob
Thanks Kurt My idea is to draw it to paint two tones I command after moldings l I did not like on your truck so original molding not holes and the fender and the bed is new previous restore body I look for guides your picture More thanks Bob

hi, sorry for the late posting , i had internet troubles, haven't we all, lol! look, first picture is the area where i was talking about (door) upper hole is easy, just on the curving lower hole is easy too, see the factory spot to know where screws were used originally and how many, check out the LMCtruck, catalog, it's accurate. i have also measured the space inbetween the bottom of the upper molding and the top of the lower molding on the door and the bed: the distance is 34,2 millimeters. keep truckin! kurt
