Hey Guys, Ive got an engine out of a 79 Chevy 1/2ton P/U Left side on rear of block has 39GM 14010207 anyway to ID this engine somewere? Thanks,Allen

Hello there your block is a 14010207.=..350...from 80-85... could be a 2 or 4 bolt block you would need too pull the oil pan check.

i got the same problem i got a motor vin 397000 and under the alt. is VO6150HS I CHECK MORTEC IT MIGHT BE A 302 CHEVY JUST SEEIN IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME
( ???I got what is suppose to be a 1968 327 castin number 397000 and the code under the alternator is V06150HS can anyone tell me what it really is? I would really be thank ful for any info. thanxs )

The first do you have the truck vin compleat what year is your truck said to be. Are you sure that the block casting is that. Does the part of the vin under the ALt match your truck Vin for those 8 digits .

1968 3970010 327 - - 2 A if this is in your truck then some put in it ! 1969-79 3970010 350 185 370 2 or 4 car, truck, Vette. you have to take off the oil pan to find out if it's a 2 or 4 bolt mains caps. check by the ALT front on the front of the head there a small lip there will be # there the same as you Vin half if it's the same it's the stock motor only on the new of the year end. V= Flint (Engine) 05 = Should be the 5 month 04 = The day Now you will have to double check the last last two stamping .
