gas tank protective shield

hey y'all

since gas and engines match, i decided to write my question down, here.

i have found an original gas tank protective shield, in black plastic (i guess)
does anybody know :
it is like to protect one side of the tank, not the complete tank at the bottom, but the short side of the tank (my tank is the "outside the chassis" model, under the cab and bed driversside).probably under the cab.was this like that original or am i missing a part?

you got it man it is black plastic and it sounds like you have what you need i had one for both sides of my truck ;D

Yes that was a option for protective shield truck gas tank to keep rocks and debree from beatting it up . There made for left side and right side, but can be moded to work on what ever side you need there rivited to the brackets . Good option up grade. The army option might have thicker steel made for the 1-1/4 ton trucks.
