V0530 decodes as.....
V (engine plant) -- Flint, Michigan 05 -- May 30 -- 30th day
----------------------------------------------------- The C7A suffix decodes as follows...
YEAR -- 1985 DISP -- 305 CARB -- Roch E4ME VIN # -- H RPO CODE -- LG4 HORSEPOWER -- 150 BBLS -- 4 CAR APPLICATION -- B, F, G, Omega
--------------------------------------------------------
The LFN part of the VIN code is probably actually 15N. This decodes as
1 -- Chevrolet 5 -- Build year (1985) N (assembly plant) -- Norwood
The rest of the numbers are a partial VIN # of the car that the engine was installed into at the factory. If it was the original engine in the camaro, the VIN on the engine would match the VIN on the car.
