First thing is to pull the round knobs off straight toward the seat, the next is to take all the screws out of the bezel face plate ( this is where all the gauges are.) make sure your on level ground use the e-brake if it works, if not block the wheels. put the keys in the do no start the truck turn the key on spot, put the gear leaver in to 1'st turn the key to off now and leave them. make sure you take out the 4 screws on the bottom plastic dash part under the column then slip the rubber band up wards . Now take the two to four thin hex nut off the radio shaft knobs. Start to gently pry out the bezel work it away from the head light pull knob, if it's a 73-83 the wiper switch will have to be slide to the right one spot gently pop it out over it. Same goes for the radio shafts. Wiggle it up out. Now the radio should come out, a bit but might be a nut on the back of the radio or on the side on some. Unplug the wires, or undo wires & the antenna pop it out.Now your ready to put in the new radio or what ever. Then do the reverse to put it back. Oh do not forget to turn the key to on shift the column shifter back in park. that it. Now in all the ground fuses wiring is set up right your radio should work and look right in it's place again.
