I bought an 82 Silverado 4X4 shortbed for $1200.00 and am currently restoring it. Every part that could be unbolted or unscrewed has been replaced with new aftermarket items. Bodywork and paint have been completed and am starting with the interior. The paint is a new 2007 junky a$$ f@#d blue with a white pearl.
New dash, gauges, bumpers, wheel trim, grill, headlight doors, seat, steering wheel,seals,mirrors,etc.etc. Currently has a running 305 in it but a 350 is being built. have approximately $5,000.00 in it already. Ever think I'll get my money back on it? No plans to sell it.

I've got pictures and will post them soon. Anybody got any suggestions on what to do about the radio. I bought a brand new gauge bezel and no way in hell I'm cutting it up. Got a bid on a as new original factory radio.

That kinda kool idea with the radio in the glove box.
Well You could use the factory radio just for looks in that spots. You could put warring light in the round holes, or push buttons there. For the main part of the radio spot gauges, switches, a pocket, clock, any kinda of electric device depending on size. You coul do something like this with the radio. bowtieguy.proboards33.com/index.cgi?board=Stereo&action=display&thread=1122275022
