Well For those who do not know how to take out the Glove Box lock.
Well so far the best little tool is a 1/16 drill bit. Put the bit in the lock, you will see a little hole on the out side. Put the back end of the bite in. Then open the door, a about a 1/4 inch will be sticking out of the bit.
The little lock ( clicker latch put in the closed or lock position).holding the bit in turn the chrome part to open make sure the bit in all the way.
While holding the drill bit in wiggle the out side chrome side while pulling it out , it should pop out a little .
Now take a little flat head screw driver look at the dark part of the lock .
There will be some small opening. look in the top one to try and see a brass tab ( that a tumbler). First you have to turn the chrome nob 1/4 turn to the right or until you see it.
Depress that brass tab down with the screw driver ( small one) and pulling the chrome part of the lock out.
Now you can take a big flat head that fits in the steel part that looks like a washer, counter clock wise until comes out , you might have to hold the dark part with your hand to get it to start.
To reinstall you pretty much do it in reverse.Take your time & look at it will come.
This what it looks like out. And what happen to some with year of uses. The truns knob breaks off. This what happens after years of uses truns knob breaks loose or it hit one to meany time with your two 1/2 ton floor jack handle.
;D I hope this helps you if you do not know how to do this.
For those that want to know how you can give it a try.
I hope I gave a good enough Idea how to do this.
The one that know how to do this, have you any better tool to use.
