hi, i am looking for an extra single or dual fan setup . i have a cooling fan on my engine and a big radiator but i would like to mount in front of my condensor ( first the extra fan setup, than the condensor, than the radiator and than the shroud and cooling fan that is mounted on my radiator) to get that extra cooling espescially when the motor is running but the car is not moving like in a traffic jam. what fan setup do i need ? from which car could i use a donor, the direction of the rotation of the fan(s);...single or duall? is there anybody who could give me some advice? thanks

I think a after market one may be better if your running the fan & clutch still with factory shroud (one with out a shroud summit has a nice one that can push or pull depends how you hook it up, or room in front of the rad or in front of the clutch.) The big thing is how much do you drive it in hot weather heavy traffic since yours has A/c cuts down on the air going in to the rad a bit. So does the fan a little, so how good does you system work "cool" if it cool pretty good then. you will have to test the set up in both ways. If your in a lot of bumper to bumper half the time i would set up as a puller with the fan in front of the clutch. ( Oh the air should all was move to the motor) I have both fans like what you what to do in my 1976 Pontiac 7 blade clutch fan & stock shroud, 3 core copper rad, No A/c, big Trans cooler away from rad 4" to 5 " to one side more to the right(passenger), the fan from summit draw some power cool good it a little up and off to the left (driver) run it throw two relays to the switch I can turn mine on any time with out keys because I use it at the track a lot of the time. But off a key on power only might be good in case you for get to turn it off 15 min running the batt gets weak or dead. then you will have to charge the batt lol. I would drive your truck see what temps are around mark them down & out side weather too. set up a test wire set up for the Electric fan for both ways to see what work best for your driving & traffic condition.
Every thing that goes in front of the rad help to add a little heat to the rad. But you want to try to get the best "or least heat build up for the duel set up you want. I hope this will help . Now with the truck I do not have this set up on the 305 yet but I may do it for the truck because I pull a trailer with a car summer. I have the same size big trans cooler in all my Auto's helps the trans. in the winter takes longer the warm up the trans because the big cooler. some time in the winter I would put cardboard in front of the trans cooler in really cold wind days . But I do not think I be doing any more driving in the winter hopefully any more with the truck.
