hi, a question about the fuel lines: there is a fuel line and a return line , and a vapor line. the fuel line is connected via a fuel hose to the fuel pump, right? the fuel return line is connected via a rubber hose to the carburator, right? and the vapor line? which one is the fuel line and the return line?

well unless it's fuel injected there is no return the larger line goe's to the pump and the small one goe's to the vent [charchole canister] if you have duel tanks you will have 3 lines.

i guess it's not a fuel injected system, the engine is from 1975 , and the carburator is stock rochester two barrel from the same age i guess.
so the thick line goes to the pump and the other line was once connected to a charcoal cannister , right?it used to be a diesel truck.but now has a 350 V8 gas.
thanks for the information!

oh it was a diesel! well in that case it doe's have a return line since diesel are fuel injected just cap the small line and run the big line to the fuel pump and the other line from the pump to the carb.

My '84 has three fuel lines at the tank and at the pump. Pretty sure that's all stock. Not a diesel or a dual tank. Someone told me that one is suction, one is a return,(to reduce vapor lock) and the other is the vent line. I have all three hardlines on my frame. I'll take another look at it and see if I can figure it out.
