Since my truck has never been driven in the cold, the previous owner removed the tube from the exhaust stove to the air horn. I have original metal tube. Because it was not needed, he changed air horn on cleaner assembly to a flattened out style and put big diameter air flow cloth hose on it, I am assuming to increase amount of air reaching the carb. The other end (approximately 6" diameter) is hooked to back of core support somehow. He had this different air horn welded to air cleaner. I was wondering, where can I get original style air horn to replace it? Also, did it have vacuum hose and butterfly door in it, or just rammed the warm air to carb? I have to drive my truck in the snow this year, and if I leave it like this, I will get carb icing. Thanks in advance for any information......Larry

First I would say what carb is on the motor. 2 Or 4BBl what type carb the heat tube most are on the passenger side . I would say go to a junk yard, truck yard, old truck from 73-80 for you truck look in the yard take a camera take pic's of a few set up see if they have some nice part. there a few ppl on this board that had parts not on what your looking for. trade or parts sections your area. E-bay maybe. maybe a few pic's of your set up to see if your is fixable or if you need more stuff.

Thanks for the reply. When I get chance to get to my truck, I will take photos of compartment. I think I have a Quadracrap carb, the fuel line enters carb from right side ( pass. side) of carb. I have seen one other set up on another 350, that had air tube removed, but it also didn't have big cloth and spiral intake hose attached. I wonder if I just use extra gasline antifreeze, instead. ( Isoprophyl alcohol). Just to get me through this winter. Sure glad first owner had the sense to have whole truck Ziebarted. This is what kept the rust away, Once again, thanks........Larry
