Hi , I have here with me an oil pressure switch(picture) It is for a 1978-1980 engine, it will fit my 1975 engine but I need an elbow to mount the switch. Does anybody have such an albow that fits in the hole in the engine where the switch normally goes(usually backside engine , behind the distributor), the other end of the elbow is where the switch fits in then.so in the end the switch is mounted on the engine and I can read my oil pressure on my gauge., normally the swith stands up vertically in the engine but with the elbow it is horizontally, but that is ok. If you have such an elbow ; please let me know(you will propably find it on a 1981 and further engine.) Talk to you later! Kurt Kryture@msn.com

The Gm elbow are a little hard to come by I looked a long time to get mine. Now for the car I ran for the longest time 2" 1/8 pipe thread tub treaded at both end's had a 1/8 -90 degrees elbow . Later on I wand to run the gauge & the idiot light. So I ran the 1/8 by 2" pipe with a 1/8 tee . Now you can go to a auto store or pluming store for these. The factory GM elbow is some where around 180 degree elbow. GM part only or off another truck . maybe E-BAY. The other is not a factory looking but will work OK. So again you looking for size 1/8 pipe thread some of these fitting you may need more or less depending on how high or far out you need it. Now here is the thing do not put it to close to the fire wall You will need at least a 1/2 " away just in case the motor torque pushes up and back on really hard hits. ( there is a lip on the firewall to watch out for to try to keep it under it if you can or away form it " to the rad side.) I had put mine up higher at first to make it easier replace If I had but , if you have to take out the motor it has to come out to have more room to cant the motor ( cant = tilt ) when removing. Now I hope this helps If I find a extra I do not need I will let you know.
