This CS144 factory Alternator in stock forum is a pretty juice up ALT. over the old factory ALT. Upgrade from the smaller 10Si and 12Si series alternator on early GM 73-87 43amp-64amps vehicles to the larger ALT Factory 98amps-120amps, extra juice up to The CS144 comes in 140, 170, 200, 250 amp both single a Dual Bridge Rectifier versions Lets say you like to add Duel fans or high flow electric fan big sound stereo or plow or lots of electric options. Now the alt is not cutting it any more. Cs144 is a better alt then the cs130 alt. The Cs144 started in 1993-2000 list to come.

Picked up another 2000 CS144 Alt Savana 1500 5.7L this one need brushes as one wire was cut 1/2 way on one side brushes. The rear bearing dirty and grimy from wear looks like was working hard bad ground some shorts. As the out side looks pretty new compared to the last one this one the better rectifier in it. I going to clean it clean the rear bearing completely out check the roller bearing grease see it useable. Try to find a front cover trade for one. The front bearing is good make another v-belt Pulley then I have a spare ready.
