Ok I have another problem now. I set my timing tightened my dist. down and drove it around the block and it ran great. I drove it home tonight and it started missing again, It misses right before the 4 barrel kicks in it stops when it does but when the engine starts to whind out real good it starts missing like it has a rev limiter on it until you shift. Any help?

hey guys i'm new to the forum but hopefully someone can help i am working on a 76 k10 just replaced head gaskets got it all togethher but can't get the timeing right to save me everytime i roll it to tdc the rotor button is pointing in wrong direction all i get is popping in the carb help please

how far off is the rotor. did you miss a tooth when you put it back in. if you are sure you put it back in right you might try move your plug wire over 1.

Hey Spinnin........Pull out the dist. Then rotate the rotor to point at the #1 piston........make sure the crank is at TDC and put in the dist until it goes all of the way in and the rotor is pointing at the #1 piston.... Then set your timing and you are done.....
