my 91'burban is running bad. at idle its fine, rev to 3000 + and before i replaced the fuel filter it would break up .now with the new filter it does not do that.it just boggs down when driving.it also bogged before the filter but alot worse.i also cleaned the cap and rotor, that seemed to help alittle(will replace those tomorrow with new parts).anyone have any ideas what could be wrong.
i need to fix this now because or mercedes burnt up today...had an engine fire.so please lead me in the right direction, thank you.

OK I guessing your motor is computer controlled have you check with a scanner what the codes are saying. sounds like it getting a little bit to much fuel or not burning it fast enough. IF it if 91 all factory scan it see what the code are saying mark them down UN hook the batt 3 min do what ever your manual says to do to re set the computer. I not sure if the 91's are like the 87-88 just UN hook the batt 3min re-hook it up . Re scan it see what the codes say. then re-place the other tune up parts re-scan it again re set the computer as said re scan. it may be a 02 sensor there also one of the things to go. The scanner will help you narrow the search but you will still have test parts look at parts to see if it no good. you can buy on or you should be-able to get one from a good parts place that has a lend a tool program. I hope this helps let us know how things go, what parts worked for your problem Pontiac1976
