I have a 75 C-10 and ocasionaly when I am accelerating at WOT the truck will spit and sputter, I will pull to the side of the road and it will continue doing this for 5-10 sec then stop. Also it does not have much power when towing. It definetly sounds like an ignition problem, and a friend said I probably have to adjust my dwell. Do you even adjust dwell on a hei ignition?

There is no dwell adjustment on an HEI ignition, it's controlled by the IGN module inside the distributor. You may have some pin holes in your fuel line that are allowing air to enter the system under WOT conditions, and under load. (Small pin holes may not always show up as a fuel leak if they are at the top of the line...)
