isn't anybody here selling for my 1980 gmc truck the a/c fittings that go on the condenser? nobody removed their stock A/C for whatever reason, ? if possible, can someone check a wreckyard? i pay without a problem !

I have a Question the condenser fittings you got is that for a 1973-1979 is it Mectric fittings or SAE fittings. Now the condenser pump fitting what year is it for & is it Mectric or SAE fittings. on most 1980 the fittings were a cross over year they started to have Mectric fitting but some of the early one could be SAE.
I not sure if the A/c line where allways mectric in all the years or not from 1973-1987.

hey pontiac, it has been a while since we last talked, i know. but im here again. about that aux. tubing part that i am still missing. here are pics of the condenser with the fixed tubings: this is a picture of the aux. tubing,in front of that condenser. the aux. tubing leads into the engine bay, that is the part i need. the condenser is new, bought it in the usa.it,s the 77-80 model or something (not over 1980 !) . my a/c setup (because the truck originally didnt have any) is 1987. so, i guess that what i could do is get that original 1980 aux. tubing, connect the 1980 compressor hoses to it, cut the hoses of the connections ,let make new hoses with on the other end the connections of my 1987 compressor hoses. now, to know what size all these connections are,to get the correct aux. tubing, how do i best do that?how do i know the difference between metric sized thread and inches? ...

Hello there . Well there is a tool in most tap & die set if you have one. that can tell you what thread size & if it is corse or fine thread. do you have one of these . Hope this helps you a bit.

Now there a few thing you could try now one would be a wreck yard find the thread size you need and fitting that will mate up for both sides get one made by a shop so it has the right fittings on both side that you need. or get some Alum tub in the size for the fitting holes solder the end to the line or use the line crimp connector tubes for joining lines.. not sure if you know what I mean or not I see if I can find a pic to show you some. Oh you could try a A/c shop they might have the fitting you need and may point you to a shop in your area that might have some thing . Compression Fittings -Union fitting use these and as much as the line that you can and the end fitting. Use the part join the as one line then the same for the other side . I would solder the fitting after set up right to make sure they do not leak. This would be a cheaper way to see what bends you need what fitting you may or can use later once it working then you can make up a nice one to look more factoryor after market fancy.
