Ok I have a 1981 Stepside, its lowered 4inches in the back and 3 in the front. Has weld racing drag lites all around, currently the motor thats in it is a 1992 350 witha 510 lift cam 10:1 pistons, weiand stealth intake, edelbrock carb and hedman headers with flowmaster exhaust and dump downs after the rear axle. Its backed by a TH400 trans with a high friction clutch band and a shift kit. Rearend is a stock 3:08 open rearend but a posi and 4:10s are in the works. Also a 60 over 350 with florged internals and a blower is next on the agenda. hope ys'll like it. here's a link to what it looks like.

Kool looking truck very nice step side. I see you up dated the head lights to a 83-87 duel 's but look's like 83-84 head light doors(bezels) and that a 3" cowl on the hood or maybe a 4".
I have to agree "Stump Jumper" about the fleetside of your dad's look's nice. some pic's would be great.

yea I saw his. its a cinterfugal style. Im goin with the roots style blower. It a classic and also quieter than the other. But my ultimate goal is twin turbo's on her. Yea she hauls some, cant wait to get the posi and gears in her though. thats whats really holdin me up.

thats last year around this time. I blew 5 pistons at one time. I tried to run the blower with stock cast pistons for a while. Well the end result wasnt pretty. lol. Im building a 4 bolt block with forged pistons and forged rods. Still saving money for the forged crank. But I will run aluminum heads with blower. Also thinking about putting some spray for fun on there. lol Cant wait to finish it.

Was your pistons compression under the 8.5 or better in the 7 range all around so heads have to be picked with lower comparison too.? I not the best on blowers but you want low compression lower because the blower bring the compression way up, so the highest to use is.I think the guy race track that had a set up at the track. He had Big Blower & NOS he said something where around 7.5 - 7.8 is the better for him. He have it around 7.0 - 7.9 depending on the parts you use.
It runs med 6.00 -7.00 in the 1/4 depending on trakion in car 68 Firebird

I'll be around 7.8-8.1 compression. Plus I'll be using Aluminum Heads with 76cc chambers. And I'll be using Nitrous on top of the boost. I hope to run in the low 10s in the 1/4.
