That is a fiber optics line the light end goes to the gauge cluster . You will have to take out the cluster and look at it to see where it goes. There should be one that has marks on it that will tell you where it fell-out of. Put it back on the ash tray first route back to the gauge.

hi, i am sorry but i don't understand it very good, i still have to learn a lot of english... do you mean that i have to remove the dash cluster, look at the backside, see the holes where the lights have to go in for the gauges, and then in one of these holes i sould insert the ash tray lamp? i thought that ash tray lamp was to light up the ash tray.?if i am wrong and that ash tray lamp is to lighten up one of the gauges, why did they make it like that? thank for all your help! i really appreciate it.

Yes you have got it right. OK this is how the wire works, the lights on the cluster turn on ( get it power from the cluster the light all so lights up a part of the cluster . The fiber optics line is like a tube if light shines in one end it will go throw and light up a small point at other end.) ie. Fiber optics . If your still not sure try to un hook the clip and shine a light in it and the tube will light up at other end. I hope this helps

Here is a pic of the Cluster (fiber optical line) the the small end goes to the ash tray. Oh I see that I put the bulb in the wrong place( fiber optics line )for the pic, it should be in the top left side of the cluster. I did this fast for the pic shoot Oops.
