i live about 15 minutes from town and when its rainin i have a problem with my wipers. theyll run just fine for about 10 minutes, then theyll slow down and then just quit where ever they quit. ill fip the switch and nothing happens. then hours later i will try to use the wipers again and itll do the same crap as before . im wonderin what the prioblem is and will it be expensive because ive priced new wiper motors for my 83' k10 and they arent cheap, especially on my teenage salary. thanks

**Re: wiper problem** The two thing that come to mind are bad ground that is coming in and out or the other connector are dirty, or set in corrosion. Clean them & lube them . The other place to lube is the wiper transmission.(under the cowl vent the bottom side of the wiper arm area) That is binding from lack of lube @ the pivot points . If you can get some lube on them, it seem to work better then they are going to start to seize or burn out the motor."lube" If you know how to remove the wiper arms take out the wiper transmission to see if they are moving free lube them good. Might be the switch grounding out or bad fuse not burned out completely. Or the motor is just gone bad from age and use. But if looked after they will last a long time depending on use.
