My name is Larry, and I am a dyed in the wool Chevy Dude. While I don't know a heck of alot about the internal workings of a transmission or a rear end, ( except my wife's )...... ;D. I do know alot about just about any make of vehicle in the collision repair of them. I have been doing autobody and frame repair for almost 42 years. Just recently I had been working at a Chevrolet dealership for 7 years. The dealership told me in April that they were moving in a new direction, and that I was not in their plans... . So now I am semi-retired. Till the unemployment runs low. I have over 80,000 dollars in tools in a storage unit. So now I just work on my own and friends vehicles. I lease a 2005 Equinox ( piece of crap ) 15 mpg's highway. EPA sticker said 16 city, 26 highway...what a farce. I just recently bought a 1978 Big Ten. It has 350 eng. w/350 turbo trans., 4bbl. Quadrajunk, 3.73 rear end, trans cooler and the temp gauge is in the interior, A/C has been converted to 134A, Air shocks on rear, custom built rear step bumper w/hitch welded to it ( 2" receiver type ), Tilt wheel, cruise control, I plan to keep truck as it is. It is light blue over white with all moldings being there and accounted for. Other than my truck, my hobbies are Metal Detecting, fishing, collecting PEZ candy dispenser's, Furbies, While I may have paid way too much for my vehicle, I think it's a great deal. Especially in the rust belt to find an almost mint truck this old. So please welcome me to this awesome site,
