I have started my first project on my run down 1980 Chevy c-10 short bed. The first I did was look over the truck hard to look for any major problems, the only think that was wrong with the body that there was large spots of rust in the floor, and that the frame was from a long bed, and it was cut to size, it had been done many years before. next thing i did was take the truck apart and replace all of the front suspension bushions and cut the coil springs to lower it a little, fix or replace all of the body damage and replace cab bushing. Put in a freshly rebuilt 350 with a few performance modifications cams, bored 30 pistons, edlebrock intake and carb, headers that flow into 2 1/4 flow masters, they sound great. Also a cowinduction hood pearl white paint, blue flames. The only problem i'm having is you have start it with gear lever up. could any one tell me what I need to do.
