I have an 84 K10 that I want to add a 4inch lift to with 33x12.50 tires. What is the best kit to go with for an all spring replacement? Best brand? I don't know my current gear ratio, but it's stock, so what gear swap would I need to maintain good driveablilty? All suggestions welcome. Rock on!

I wanna lift my truck too, with a 6" lift. I have been looking at the Superlift kits. I suppose that they are mostly the same from brand to brand on our older Chevy trucks. And you are doing it right to spring lift instead of block lifting it. I don't think you need a dropped steering arm or extended brake lines for just 4",but we'll see if any of these guys say differently. I currently have some 33 12.5's on my truck, Pro Comp A/T's and fairly new rims too. Barely any ware on them. I wanna go to 35's, would you be interested in my rims and tires? I would sell the wheels and tires pretty cheap! Here's a photo of them on the truck. If you want I will get some more closeup shots. photobucket.com/albums/y135/Highpsi/(Sorry for turning this post into an ad guys!)

Thanks for the offer, that's a badass looking truck (the interior better look just as good)! I'm not too interested in the Pro Comps, right now it's either BFG like the A/T's I have, or Nitto terra grapplers, cuz I hear they are good. Let me know if you decide on a kit.

i would say rancho makes the best lifts. but superlift are also very good. pro comp sucks, i would never buy them. And fyi a 4" lift you dont need to extend ur brake lines but i would recommend it

It took forever for someone to reply so I just quit looking. I don't even remember if they had a kit for my year range. I don't think they did, or they have only kits with blocks or something...I just knew they didn't have what I was looking for. I've seen a lot of their kits used on other vehicles though, especially Jeeps.

almost every lift manufacturer on the market makes a lift for the 73-87 chevrolet pickups it just all comes down to what you are looking for in your lift. better ride quality or maxium articulation. Colorado K5 did a good review of the different manufacturers and what their springs rates are... ( ride quality and flex) www.coloradok5.com/springratetable.shtml also with the 4 in lift you dont neccessarily need to have the extended brake lines but it is a good idea, and for proper steering geometry you do need to add the drop pitman arm. now also i pose to you this idea since the way it sounds you do not want to use lift blocks in the rear (as me) there is a company out named off road design and they sell a shackle flip kit which eleminates the need for lift blocks but gives you the 4 in of lift that you are looking for. it does this by changing your rear shackle from a tension style set up to a compression style. then all that you would need is to get the springs for the front. or ask Bent he made his own shackle flip and even has pics posted on the site. broken down if your looking at cost comes to something like this shackle flip- 200 front springs kit- 150-300 depending on manufacturer steering arm-65-80 shocks-135- 200 depending on manufacturer hope this helps and if you have any questions id be more than glad to help ya out josh

Thanks for the info. I know most do, but not complete. Some just sell front and rear springs, not all as one kit. I want best ride quality as it'd be a daily driver. I want all new springs because my current ones have seen their better days. I've seen the shackle flips and thought about it, but I just want a complete do it yourself bolt on kit. I would consider other extensive mods on something that was strictly off road though, because that's something to experiment with. One kit that interests me now because of price is rough country off Ebay for like $500 to my door. Has everything you need. I've seen a chart, but I don't remember what site it was on. I'll check this one out. Thanks.
