(350): Idling, my truck normally shows about 15psi oil pressure, 30 when under acceleration (anything above idle usually). When I drive my truck for long periods of time / highway speed / 40 or so miles distance, the oil pressure drops just a hair below the half-point under acceleration and a hair below 15 while idling. What's up with that? Is there junk in my pan that gets sucked up onto the oil pump screen or something? Thanks!

I would consider replacing the oil pump with a new high volume one. I have about 84k on my motor and when i start it up in the morning, it pegs the gauge past the 60 psi mark, it's probably around 65psi. At idle in gear warmed up it's at about 55 psi and as soon as you hit the gas it jumps up to 60 psi. If it's a hot day and i get off the highway it will drop to about 50 psi, i've never seen it lower then 50 psi except when cranking it up after an oil change it will show really low for about 2 seconds and then peg out. Actually when turning the engine over the starter generates about 15 psi on the gauge.
