1987 chevy 4x4, 305. if i feather the gas i can keep it running if i unplug the map sensor it runs perfect but turns over alot before starting. the sensor is new (tried that). if its plugged in the engine stalls. with it plugged in you can start the truck but if you give it gas it feels like its starving for gas or like its out of time, but its not. i've checked every thing fom fuel pressure to top dead center ,on the compression stroke, replaced fuel pump, oil pressure switch distributor, pick up module, new distributor cap, rotor, plugs and wires. Anyone got any ideas or know what works in conjunction with the map sensor that may trigger this situation.

After you plug in the new map sensor did you unplug the BATT for 3 mins re-hook it test it. That re set the pc you have to re road test . reread the pc codes. Another thing to check is the exhaust sensors. That the best I can think of right now. I hope this may help
