O.K. someone smarter than a fifth grader (I'm quite obviously not) please tell me what the heck is going on. Moments ago I installed a shiny new fuel tank selector switch because the old one was broken ( well coming apart) now when I switch to the left tank it is full the right tank is also full no problem. start the truck no problem right tank full engine running. switch to left tank engine dies gauge reads IRAQI OIL FIELD. What the saddam is going on here?

So your saying the tank on the left is full or over full when you switch.? But is there gas in that tank. if the gauge is over full bye a lot then the gauge has a bad ground and does your switch have a ground to the frame.? Now are you using a mecl. fuel pump or electric fuel pump.

I just read my own post and I had a dyslexia attack the left tank works the right doesn't but they both have fuel in them. I will be pulling the dash in the morning to see if its the switch ground because there is just 1 - 4 wire plug on it and its impossible to see where it goes. also the gauge goes like double past full AND Thanks very much in advance for your help P.S. dual tanks TBI electric in each tank and how the heck do you get the info on your vehicle at the bottom of the posts???

(1) OK in" Profile " under Signature is where you can put some thing like that.
(2) Now if you have a Gas gauge read over way over full then the sending unit on the tank that goes way over full. Has a bad ground on the tank and or bad ground the the frame.
(3) Also if you switch unit is electric then it should have a ground bolt or wire from the valve to the frame.
