Alright Guys, so I went out and put my '87 Jimmy throught he gauntlent to make sure it is beach trip ready. Drove it pretty hard on some trails, climbed some hills, bogged out some holes. I just picked this up two weeks ago so naturally, I am trying to pin point any problems by driving the dog sh.. out of it. The first issue I have is that the transfer case doesn't like to stay in 4-H. It keeps popping out. I had to run 4-L the entire time I was wheelin'. My concern is that if I am out in the snow, I need 4-H. Has anyone had this problem with their Jimmy/K5? Any advise would be great. I am going to work on lube and adjustments this weekend(hopefully). Also, when I cut the truck off and cut it back on, it kicks it out of 4x4. I have to disengage and re-engage, sometimes having to re-start the vehicle, any takers? Anyone in NC that wants to get out on some trails?
