OK 1973 - 1976 Door's have different in side handle shorter trim panel that screws do not line up with most of the holes of the 1977-91. The 1973 - 1976 never had power window's so the knock out steel plate is not there. And there is a few other bolt & screw hole that do not line up. But the door is all most none changed from the out side from 1973 -1991 . The 1977 first year for power window and locks so the knock out plate for the wiring is there unless the door had power wiring. The panels are almost the same size & shape just two holes do not line up and different inside door handles from 1977-1980. So if you 1977-1980 inner door handles you can't use 1981-1991 panels. For 1981- 1991 the door handles different from other and bolt up different.
It is easier to change the inner handles and door panels from the 81-91 on the 77-80 but some modes have to be done for holes. I have not tried the first gen panel up date there is three bolt that hold the inner door handle on the first gen a lot different then the other two . Inner door handles have to use the same year span as the panel unless you want to do a lot more modes.
The style first gen inner door handle from 1973-1976 The second gen inner door handle from 1977-1980 The third gen inner door handle from 1981-1987 and old style body 1991 Blazer/Jimmy, Surburban . vent window 1973-1980 have a long glass less rubber around it. The 1981 -1991 vent glass are shorter and have a rubber filler to take up the shorter glass. You can uses the newer vent window from 1977-1991, it just will not look the factory way it did and will be spotted by me very quickly and any other that know them that good.
I hope this help people know the different from years,of doors & inner door handles panels.

Oh I all most forgot The doors 1973 - 1980 had different molding options. So there will be a few extra holes on the out side ends and or studs the center of the molding where stuck on to a two way tape clip that snapped in to the molding. So if you have 1973-76 you have to grind studs off and fill in the extra holes. Then you have to use the 1973-76 inner door handles & panels to be easier to be a bolt on. 1978 -1980 door with out any out side trim would be easier use on the 1981-1987 and modify .
The easy would be 1981-1987 and old style body 1991 Blazer/Jimmy, Surburban door to use on the 1977-1987 they have all the holes for the inner door handle door panel from the third Gen but if you have the older trim option you will have to add stud's and a few holes for the trim if you want it on still. So modding will have to done at that point. The 1981- 1987 doors had option molding, all held on buy two way tape not like the first gen doors.
