Anybody have any idea how much my 2wd long box would tip the scales?

Should be around 5000 lb to 6000lb depending on your truck options how meany leafs rims you have on the 1973-80 are about 300pound heavier in the front clip then the 1981-87 yours should - 300 pounds from mine before I changed to the new style of a 84. motor option, rad, coolers, dual tanks . Now after all that said does your truck have the sticker on the door or in the glove box that should tell you the weight . If not then you can do a few things If you have a scrap metal yard that has a scale you might be able to pay them to find out. or you can try dump fill if they have a scale.. The sticker on door if was there should be driver side high on the side if it's the factory door or has not fallen off. If in the glove box left side it should be broken down in two front half and rear half..
