Hi , i have a question about my fuel sending unit.
when i bought my truck, it drove only on lpg. i looked under the truck and i noticed the fuel lines where still there(originally it had a diesel engine but the people before me decided to change to gas .)i bought a fuel tank, brackets and everything else needed to be able to get lpg and gas for my truck.i have now one gas tank that i have mounted under the drivers side.my fuel sending unit is the model with two lines.i think i only need 2 lines because i don't see three lines running anywhere under my truck. when do you use three lines and when 2 ? i suppose mounting my single fuel tank under the driversside is ok..?

Well, not really sure about the 2 hose setup. My truck is an 86 k-10 originally equipped with a 6 cyl. It had the 3 hose setup. One hose feeds, one returns, and the other is a vapor return line of some sorts, that used to connect to the charcoal canister. I am betting that is the difference on the two hose setup. My charcoal canister was pitched long ago. I just plugged the line, so no need to worry about it I am betting.

My 77 3o5 had two line W\ charcoal cannister . The 75 I took apart had 35o and had the two line W\ charcoal cannister. But the best place the Vin, emissions for that motor in that area . Some most likely did not have this set up. But these where both Canadian trucks for Canada. Even if you do not set it up now then you will know what it came with, just in case you have to put it back to emissions to drive it or get it to pass emissions.
My 77 GMC has a three line set up now.

Now if the truck was sold for export to the USA for your state in the day. Unless some one has changed emissions on it before you got the truck it will mostly be OK. To check in to it more if you can check a tune up manual for the yr truck & motor. That will tell you what emissions they had then. The diesel in the most part back then would be exempt from most emissions. Doing this kinda checks will help you learn so much. Will all so get to know your truck better all so.
