So I picked up a rear end for my pick up im almost exelent condition.. 3/4 ton with 410 gears. Now.. here is the question. Are 410 gears going to beable to keep up with a 4 speed with 44 in boggers?
Thanx again for any awnsers

[glow=limegreen,2,300]Depends on how much hp you have. Also your plans for the truck will come in to play. Are you planning on driving on the freeway? then the 4.10's might be what you want. Gonna offroad it or crawl? Then 4.56 or 5.13 might be your answer. BTW. What type of 3/4 ton rear did you snag? 14blt? If you did, is it a full floater? Just wanted to know so we can answer some questions ahead of time so you don't end up spending $ on an axle that will just blow up on you.... [/glow]

[glow=limegreen,2,300]A full floater has bolts on the hubs like this[/glow] [glow=limegreen,2,300]That is a full floater. You can see the bolts that hold the axleshaft in place. [/glow]

[glow=limegreen,2,300]Well measure thering gear and see if it is a 9.5 inch or a 10.5 inch ring gear....I think the 4.56's with your huge tires will be fine . but I wouldn't expect low rpm's on the freeway! [/glow]

i could be wrong and any who knows better can correct me but cant u change a non full floating rear to a full floating rear? and reider racing lists only a 3.42, 3.73, 4.10, 4.56, 4.88, and 5.13 for the 14 bolt. in my opinon i would look at the 4.56 or 4.88 for an all around gear for those size tires. i know of guys that run 39s with 4.10s a 4 speed and a mild 350 but for a lil more oomph id want the lower gears
