I own a 86 k20 I have a series of issues w/the front brakes, I need to replace the master cylinder wich is not really my problem as of yet, I want to replace the front rotors and to do this many of you already know that i need to pull apart the locking hubs...anyway living in the great salt belt of the northeast (rochester-ny) the 6 hex bolts that hold the locking hub in place are on there pretty good , I have gotten 3 loose from the drivers side and none from the passengers side, I believe the size of the hex head is 9/64th's is this correct or is it metric?
Also I have tried heat and spray (chesterton lubricant) to help in the process of extracting them, they wont budge as of yet. The actual piece of the locking hub that you turn to lock it is plastic so i cannot use direct heat on the heads of the hexbolts. so ive tried only slight heat and lubricant where the hub cover and rotor meet. with slight strikes from a hammer to hopefully unseat some possible rust that has formed. I'm getting pretty frustrated at this point and am running out of ideas. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Two ideas: Try some deep penetrating lubricant like Sea Foam Deep Creep or PB Blaster. Apply it liberally, then let it sit for about 24 hours, and apply more. Let it sit for about 24 more hours, then give them a try. Also, have you used an impact driver to get them loose? I'm not talking about an air-powered impact wrench, but an impact driver that turns as you tap it with a hammer. Sometimes the extra shock of the impact driver can break pretty rusty bolts loose, especially after using the Deep Creep. I know how frustrating rusted bolts can be...Hang in there!

Oh, by the way, it might be a bew enough truck to have metric bolts, but to be sure try both metric and SAE and see which one fits better.

ya thanks for the input..I found that the 9/64th allen wrench fits it to a tee. I also finally got my hands on an impact wrench so I will give it a shot , never heard of the deep creep but I will look for a dealer..i will keep u posted, thanks again
