My front end on my 86 C-10 4X4 is in desperate need of a rebuild. I want to fix the weak power steering while at it too.
Does anybody have experiences with aftermarket upgrade type power steering pumps / steering boxes etc.? My wimpy stock pump is shot I am assuming from the 33s that it's forced to turn now. I wanna add 35s or even bigger in the future so I want to have a solid foundation. I have found pumps in places such as Summit racing but whoooa are they expensive, like $350!! Is it really worth that kinda cash?
Also, will I have to buy piece by piece all the front end components such as drag links rod ends /etc. or are there any kits out there?

Try E-Bay. I find all kinds of cheap new stuff on there. I needed alot of things for my 85 with 38's and surprisingly enough I'm not broke yet!
