I need to check on getting a dana 60 front end. Now I heard that you can get one off a newer dodge but I am not sure. If you guys know how to get one pretty easy would you let me know?

If you could find one I'd go for a 60 out of a k30, They bolt right in, and have a 4.10 ratio. Then the only things you have to worry about are changing the output shaft on the transfer case and shortaning the front driveshaft (if you can get ahold of the one ton unit also). another bonus is the 60 is easily adaptable to crossover steering as well. :hbanging: :rocking:

I agree you should get one out of a K30. They're expensive to buy rebuilt. Your best bet is to buy one from someone who is parting out their truck and doesn't know what their worth. Or you could buy a piece of junk parts vehicle and strip it yourself. Then you'ld also have a matching rearend that probably has a gov-lok or eaton locker in it. Thats probably the cheapest and best way to get one. But then you got to figure out how to get rid of the rest of the vehicle. Good luck.

I have known of people putting them in their Jeeps. Jeeps sell for pretty cheap if you can find the right person. We just bought a Dana 44 at the junk yard for $50. Not to bad a price I guess.

hey guys havent been on for awhile but thanks for the replies! I have done alot of research lately and the dodge would definetly not work cause the pumpkin is on the driver side. I have found some places to get them, but everyone i have found wants at least $800 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess i will just have to run the 10 bolt till it splits and i have to buy one!
