I have looked at some price options for the tubes and the cheapest I have found was around $30 each. Not bad I guess, but I think you are right about the headers. I have looked at a couple of the 50 state legal ones. They don't need the tubes to meet CA's smog requirements to my knowledge. We'll see.

Ok now I have bad news... The sensors that I finally found don't fit the plugs that I have. I am wondering if I should just replace the whole wiring harness and start over becasue I don't know what is stock and what the old owner spliced into. Does anyone have any idea how much they are or where to look for the painless wiring kits? If you have a better idea please let me know. I am about ready to just sell the dag nabbit thing for scraps!

Nothing worse than somebody else's spaghetti wiring jobs!
The best you could do is find a service manual for your truck that has the wiring diagrams in it. I believe Haynes manuals have the diagrams you might need.
They're only about $15-$16, and are a great tool to have around.
You can follow the diagrams to see what wore runs to each sensor and go from there.

I have a Haynes and a Chilton and the wires are still so badly painted over and spliced who knows which are which. I haven't really looked yet but does JEGS and JC Whitney all carry those painless wiring kits or do i need to order it from the dealership? :shrug:

It's unlikely that a dealer will be able to get you one anymore.
The painless kits are pricey, but are good, high quality kits.
Whether you decide to rewire it like factory, or go with a Painless kit, either way, you are on for a HUGE job.
You have the wiring schematics you need, with enough time and patience, it can be done.

I have some reams of wire left over from when my dad wired his race car, do you think I should just try to rewire it from the main block out? I want to do it the simplist and the most reliable way. I have already gone through the dash and so far its looking kie the only thing that is messed up is under the hood.

As long as you replace the wires with the proper gauge, you should be fine. Don't use a smaller gauge wire than factory for any circuit.
Your Haynes manual has the wiring diagrams in it, and they tell you the size of the wire to use.
