[/b Ok Well I purchased my 87 chevy from a farmer and my idea was to use it as a work truck. To beat it up on my farm. Well of course I had to make it look good so I was going to get a paint job. The cheap paint job turned out a lot better than I had planned so then next a 3 inch lift came with some new tires. So my work truck is out and I love this truck. I am worried that I put too much into the outside and nothing in the motor. Now I do not know anything about fixing motors but what I want to do next is to make it a dependible truck I put a new battery in and I am changing the belts but I want a well runing truck and do not want to spend a lot of money. Any help would be appreciated

Hello and Welcome to the board. The first thing I would say is to get one or two book on the truck, even if you have to get some work done on it at a shop. It will help you get to know your truck. Then depending how good you feel about doing some work, have a better Idea how it's done know how to do it your self. This would be a good start & there lots of info on here just go through the forum look for info & tips, previous question answered. There all was some one that will help out with info.
