I got my 86 about 5 years ago and It was a worktruck , tired, paint faded, door & fender damage and I restored it a little at a time, new crate 350, B&M 400 trans, springs all the way around,Tires & rims, bodywork & paint, It turned out awesome UNTIL some crazy lady tried to drive her sunbird underneath it !! WELL time to start all over ! Frame had to be straightened, new metal, 454 TBI, Its still in progress but it will be better than before !! "I hope" Heres some pictures of it community.webshots.com/user/tabdoo16?vhost=communityTodd

[glow=green,2,300] Welcome from Ontario, Canada. Well it sound pretty kool I like the pic's. I was never a big fan of the bullet grills but looks good, thinke the 82 bumper lookes good with the mods. [/glow] I got question about the firebird fender vent do you have them open if you do. Have you found differents in the heat under the hood be for the hood change. I was throwing the idea around about doing the same thing on my 1977 race car I setting up.

Yes the vents are open in the back I had to trim some metal in the inter fender, they work awesome in fact when the engine is running you can feel the heat flowing out and along with the cowl hood theres alot of good air flow and the 454 couldnt be happier,Id say go for it on the race car for sure ! Not to mention they look P.F.C. "pretty fricken cool" Talk to you later Todd
