Is an edelbrock 4 bbl. carb any better than a Holley or About the same? I can get brand new one for 260.00 from Murray's auto parts. I think it is a high flow model for racing. However, I never plan on racing my truck. Like I said before, I like to keep my vehicles stock, my hot rod days are long gone. Like to live life in the safe lane, have never had a ticket since I started driving at 16. Maybe I am in wrong forum ;D. I used to have a 1971 SS Chevelle, did a little street racing, but never got caught......whew .......Larry

Well this is really up to you but since you asked. Well I use only Rochester for the stock stuff ,or Holley for stock to mild or high performance. I really like edelbrock Intakes . But I would not even take a Carter or edelbrock carb it is a carter style carb they got the right to make them still a carter carb. I do not like them at all. I know lots of ppl that have them some like them most do not. keep it stock or go Holley. there easier for me to work on still honeing my skills on the rochester carbs. And before you buy a new one let how bad your carb looks mabe just needs a carb kit. do you know if it's 2 barrel or a 4 barrel set up because you will need to change the intake if you get the wrong carb.

It is definately a 4 barrel. I think? It has factory dual exhausts. Would they do that if it were a 2 barrel carb?......Larry

I agree with Pontiac, edelbrock carbs are nothng but problems. Had one and took it off, didn't like it at all. If your not wanting more power stick with things that will give you milage and power as an upgrade, like exhaust or maybe a better flowing intake, head work?? Just a thought
