Hey guys, I want to lower my truck 6 1/2 in the rear and 4 in the front. I am just seeing if anyone can help me on which is really the best ride quality and handling is. I have 275-60-15x10 tires, and i am wondering if i have to get different wheels. I am trying to get all 4 tires just under the fenders on all 4 corners. I just dont know if i am going to low and crazy, <which i think i am> Or if i can do like a 4 in rear and 2 1/2 in frnt. Please help me i have never done this and need some advice... You guys are great thanks a million......

I had the same problem. sounds like we're after the same thing. Check out my truck under photo album. I thought 3 inches in the front and 4 in the rear would be enough...I wasn't happy! I used a drop spindle and shackle and hanger kit. I have a 275/60/15 in the picture. Now I and taking off shackle and hanger and using a flip kit. and using a drop coil to finish the front. when it's done it will be 4.5 front and 6 inch in the rear. There are a couple of other trucks on the site that are dropped make sure and check them out and read the replies it tells you some stats

U can see my truck under the photo album. (pics of my 77). You shouldnt have a problem. I got my kit at sporttruckdirect.com. Mine is a 5-7 drop I,ve had the 10 inch ralleys on mine I didnt have a problem. The way mine is done is a rear end flip kit, lowering shakles in the rear. Coils and spindles in the front. Make sure you go with lowering shocks. Toxic shocks are the best. now do remember u are going that low in the rear u are going to have to c-notch the frame. The kit from sporttruckdirect.com has all u need. They either have a 4-6 or a 5-7 drop if you drive it daily I would go with the 4-6. the 5-7 is a little to low for some not for me it is to high for me still. the a-arms is the only thing that really has clearance problems. If you have any questions just ask. I have had mine lowered for six years. I am in a car club and I help every one lower there trucks.

You can go 5-7 if u want. I don't have much problem with mine except for the a-arms dragging on speed bumps and city titties. I am about to do air ride on mine within the next couple of months. I like the idea of having adjustable ride height. Plus I am going to z the front crossmember. That way I can avoid the a-arm problem. The way u are going is fine. I just have been static for so long. I am ready for a change. I am not low enough. That is my deal though. I will tell you that it is addicting. U will want to go lower after time. I am going to run 22inch rims in the rear, and 20inch in the front on mine. Mine is going to be a show truck only. I am only going to drive it to local shows. I will trailer it to out of town and out of state shows. If you need any thing don't hesitate to ask. I am very familar with lowering. I am sorry I like to talk. I like to talk about trucks and costomizing.
