These fans have got some power have to be mounted on the motor side. I thought I would install electric Fan I got for free, from 2010 Mercedes E Class 6.3L A/C E63 A/T.
So got me a new used Big Block Shroud w/Ac . --------->>>>>
So the electric fan would mount to the cut shroud. Looks allmost factory.
Now just to wire it. 4 wires Large Brown= ground, Large RED= Main Power, Small Green/Blue Strip= Keyed Power (Fused), Small Black/Red Strip= Ground.
Thinking of adding a bypass switch in the cab maybe a temp switch to activate fan and work with the on board controller if need.

As above. So after getting the shroud cut. I hosed it down used a heavy duty scotch pad to roughen the frame body. Then blow it off used high heat Flat Black paint or BQ works after 5mins I cleared it with Satin Clearcoat. (one coat for both). This is the Fan
This is being set up with these parts . 77 BBC 454 Rad 3 core in a 84 rad support BBC A/c Shroud. (This should work on 73-80 rad support & any of the 81-87 that are using the 73-80 wide & taller rad in the 81-87 supports)

I had did a lot of searching on the this fan found out most what I needed to try start wiring this fan. But ran a cross Dave v3 controller about seven month ago. I was busy doing other stuff try find the link.
So about two month ago I found the link. So I though about it, Then two weeks ago. I ordered v3 Controller with Harness, GM Sensor & Harness, & nice reset-able Fuse 50amp w/cover. Well it came in FRI 12 July/2019.
I did not get a chance to go to the truck to check it out.
The wiring looks very nice, pretty long too, so it looks like there be some option on where to run the wire in the truck.
This really makes things easy to set up your set for your fan make this fan a true plug and play set up. With very little wiring to do it pretty basic.
Now if you have most of the wiring stuff you still want to do the brain work & net searching to do your own set up that up to you. I did most of the net searching lots hours with and not finished. If I had to do this again and I found his site. I think I would have tried it sooner.
I really like the fan seeing it work on one of the Mercedes c-class car at work with the PMW Option. That when I started to think about if I was going to add a electric fan this one would be a better choice fan. Because I am a 5 or 7 blade clutch fan guy in most cases I run 7 blade 3 core in my 76 Pontiac 5 blade 3 core in my 77 GMC truck. When I got a chance at a free electric 850 watt PMW fan I really started thinking about trying one on the truck. So now it just where I'm going to fit it in (routing the harness so it work with the stuff I putting in.
So when I get it all loomed up wired where I putting it. When I have it ready I will post pic's.
