I just got this truck this past November 2014 and had to drag it home. The brake caliper on the driver's side was locked up. I knew about a leaking gas tank but was surprised to find I could not drive or use the truck right away. The battery had been removed, so I could not hear it run until after I purchased a new battery. So far I have bought a battery, a new gas tank, two brake calipers, two wheel cylinders for the rear, brake shoes and pads, oil, spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and points, air filter, transmission filter and gasket and fluid, carburetor rebuild kit, fuel inlet filter, 4 new 16.5 tires @ $188 ea. FM radio and speakers for a total of about $100. I am still trying to determine if I got a good deal. The truck was given to me in exchange for my labor to apply a new rubber roof to a small shed. I feel really special driving the thing and I am surprised I get around 15-16 mpg. The radiator had some small pin hole leaks that I fixed with an additive but there are consistent and hard to access leaks within the fins of the radiator that I can't get to so I am considering replacing that with a cheap one from Autozone and eventually I do want to invest another couple of hundred in a new carburetor. There is a sound that appears to be a rocking arm adjustment issue but not sure. The truck had 78,000 actual miles on it when I got it so I figured it couldn't be that bad. I sure would like to rehab it some day and have it sitting pretty cause it really deserves this. Let me know what ya think. I attached some pics
