How to disassemble, clean, repair and reassemble an A.C. Delco Horn found on 70s 80s and 90s. VIDEO: Stainless Steel Pop Rivets might look better if you can get them with a long enough shank. Other than that the screws are ok.
Just though I would pass this to you.
Thanks to Gerald Carroll Video.

Here the 81-87 horn redone little bit different showing more to 88-90 horns to mid 90's. This is the Hi tone horn showing the before after.
Sand blasted taped up the in side coil and all parts and the power spade not needed sand blasting (glass bead). Oh do not sand the plastic cover.
I used clear bath room and window mildew/mold free
silicone just around the out side screw openings this time. I have did set of 88-90 truck horn set Hi/Low. Found a set two weeks ago just finished the hi tone horn.

This what it looks like. It came out very nice sound good. There no plastic spacer ring in center it card board on these years as the video talked about. Maybe changed 87 or 88 not sure, so you might have to ream out if it does have the plastic spacer ring if it melts. If the coil is broken or gotten to hot (coil wires), it should be ok just clean up the contacts make sure nothing shorted, or to rotten the paper elements good enough to work.
