When I got the truck it seemed to hold gears too long and shift hard when it did, enough to make a nice ping sound through the drive train when it did shift. Also at freeway speeds it was endlessly going between 3rd and OD. I adjusted the shift cable so it was fully extended when the accelerator was fully depressed. But now it seems to shift too early. With my foot to the floor it holds on to 1st till only 3500rpm, although that does get you to 55mph, it just seems a little early to me, since I would guess the redline for a 350 is closer to 5000rpm. Under normal driving conditions it shifts before 2000rpm. Any advice would be appreciated.
