Ok, took some photos of my truck the other day. I hope to finish buffing and touch up on the new paint within the next few months.

Ok, cool now I get the hang of posting pics.. Soo, here goes with the project details! I bought the truck about 8 years ago, replacing all the damaged body parts. Needless to say it looked like a patchwork quilt!

So the bodywork and paintwork began last spring. It took all summer to get it to the point it's at in this pic. All bodyparts were removed except the front fenders so that the color change paint job would get the back of the cab and bed, doorjambs... etc.. The inside of the bed was sandblasted to remove all rust so the rhinoliner would apply well. Painting all this surface area requires a BIG garage! My 2 car garage is toooo small for all these parts! I dont know how I didnt bump things while painting in this clutter!

A shot of everything ready for primer. The bed is resting on a dolly so I could roll it around easy.

Ok just one more pic, I sure this is eating up bandwidth or something! A shot after the second set of coats was done. (Yep, thats right! I ended up doing this TWICE because the first coat ran so badly on me...) I hope to get back to work on it in the next week or two. School and a broken hand has delayed my progress of late, but I will get it done by the summer so I can use it. Future plans include putting my TPI roller motor from my Iroc into it. Will probably do an 8" lift with some 35's or bigger too. As soon as the paint work is done, the entire susp and front end are gonna get a rebuild / lift. Any suggestions for lift kits? Was thinking of getting a better aftermarket power steering pump first too. I'll keep everyone posted!

Looks sweet, looks like your project is coming along nicely. I have some info on lifts in the suspension forum if you wanna check that out. I am in the process of jacking my restored 83 stepside k10 up right now.

It looks real nice thier highpsi. I hope that when I finally get around to tackling this part of my project that it comes out looking half as good. I am sure the website you put out will definetly help.

Yeah, that looks real good, man. I hope mine comes out looking as good as well, though I want to return mine to the original color of silver. Still have a month or so worth of body work to go, though.

Thanks for the props guys! The pics dont really show it, but there's still alot of buffing and wetsanding needed. Gotta get the orange peel out and remove some more.. um.. RUNS.. (You'd think I woulda picked a color other then BLACK to try my first paint job on!) :nono: Here's a link to the photobucket album. photobucket.com/albums/y135/Highpsi/?start=all(ignore the first few pics, they're just some Iroc parts I need to sell!)

I finished my 84 GMC 1/2 Ton last summer. With a lot of time and money I finally got her done. I even stuck a newer engine in it with fuel injection from a donor 87 Chevy.
