ON top of my tranny on the driver's side, there is a fitting with about an inch and a half of looks like vaccum tube sticking out of it. There is no hose hooked to it and I have no clue what it does. Is this just a breather? Or is it maybe a vaccum line that I missed? Also I found an electrical connection hanging of of the back of the motor. It looks like it connects to another fitting or sender because it is a female connection. Any help would be great as I am really stumped on this one.

The small tube on the top of the tranny is the vent. If you are seeing excessive fluid from here, it's an indication of too much fluid in the trans.
You can help your tranny vent better by slipping an 8" piece of vacuum tubing over it, and letting it hang down the side of the trans case.
As far as the connector, it could be anything..LOL If you could describe it with some more detail it might help.
