I have been trying to decide on an engine.
I was thinking of a mild stroker and a turbo?? I found a twin turbo kit in the autotrader for 6 grand new. Any one ever worked on something like this?

Turbos are awesome. And you can make your own turbo kit if you are creative useing turbos and related stuff from the junkyard. I now guys on this site like to bash imports, but some of these guys are doing some really cool stuff to make their cares go faster. So don't be afraid to pick up a book about hondas and read about turbos. At the junk yard their are alot of imports with turbos and intercoolers you can rob. Saabs, Volvos, Audis, Mitsubishi. Even old junky a$$ f@#ds. And check out this site. www.homebuiltturbos.com. The guys on this site I prabably wouldn't hang with, but they have come up with some cool ideas about turbocharching cars for cheap. Why let the ricers have all the turbo fun? Why not back up all that chevy torque with a couple trubos? The best of both worlds I think.

I totally agree with you. I am slowly doing my truck and I want something different that the guy beside me. Thanks for the link I'm going to check it out. I never thought about stealing on off a wrecked car, cool idea. I'll have to keep my eye peeled for a good used turbo. I love the sound they give off. Thanks

I am one of those Honda junkies. I had the first turbo Civic here in the province back in the mid '90's. I did a great amount of research and built my own system. There wasn't much "bolt-on" back then. Now I'm looking at a turbocharged HT502 crate motor for my new project. I'd say go for it. Beware of the "discount" Ebay stuff though and do your research. A good guide to what things should look like look a Gal Bank's site. www.bankspower.com/products/show/267/85

Banks makes a twin turbo 350 that puts out over 1000hp, aviable in either kit form or as a turn key motor, but at somewhere around $12,000 for the complete motor it might be a little outta your price range. I had wanted to put one in my 89 RS Camaro when I still had it.
