I have an 83 C10 that originally had the straight 6 in it. It now has a 350 V8. Would the stock rear end have been different in a truck with a 6 cyl as opposed to a V8? I'd like to swap it out. Any recommendations? I've been told to look for a junky a$$ f@#d 9" rear end.
Any ideas or suggestions would be a big help.

Hello there . Question on questions is the 350 stock, what are you going to use the truck for. Or driving style now and then or race, stump pulling, mud racer. 83 should have a 10 bolt diff gear would be on your option tag in the glove box or Driver door, maybe on the engine bay. Why do you think you need a F o R d 9" diff? could be higher gears or lower gears code for your option of your truck .I do not know junky a$$ f@#d stuff that well . I can't say that if your not makeing more then 450 HP you really do not need a junky a$$ f@#d part.
Some info plans to try to help you & so other can help you.
