Has anyone here ever tried one of those highliner headliner kits that LMC sels? The ad shows 4 speakers and a spot to install a head unit or c.b.? says the speakers can handle only 10 watts though. It looks cool, but I don't know anyone who has one.

i have one, not yet installed though..speakers are included but if you are not satisfied ith the power, buy other ones? and there is a space for your radio or cb but you have to cut out the hole yourself and there also is a domelight included..i will def take pîcs when installed but you can see the highliner on my 1980 gmc sierra grande truck foto pages to give you an idea what its all about.it looks really neat in my opinion...

I put one in my GMC last summer. Fairly easy install and IMO it looks good. I put a CB in there also. The speakers that come with it are crap, I took them out pretty quick and installed some Boston's. Not much room up there though to get any kind of base out of them. I'll try and take some pics tomorrow so you can see it installed.

Hmm, tips, Well have a friend to help hold it up while you put the first couple screws in is a big help. I wired and tagged the speaker wires on the bench taping the wires to the headliner. install the speakers after the headliner is installed. be sure to use the foam when you install the speakers. don't forget the CB wires also. use duct tape for the wires too so they don't vibrate with the sound. The CB area is cut by you to the size needed. If you don't want a CB there it's a good spot for switches too. but that would mean more wires to install. Careful where you run wires! keep them in the channels so they don't get pinched. It's pretty straight forward. I think the only little issue I had was getting the sun visors screwed in correctly. their just a mean woman to get the screws to catch. The quality of the speakers suck too. If you can opt to not get them and get your own, do so.

That the first time I seen one in some one truck nice. I guess if your going to put in a CB you could use those speakers for the CB put other sound system speaker else where. That should make the bad speaker sound better for the CB. ;D good job with the pic's
