 No Magnet?
« Thread Started on Jun 10, 2006, 12:21pm »

I recently performed a trans service on my 1978 TH400 truck. I realized after putting everything back together the was no magnet in the pan. I thought most of these TH350/400 transmissions came with magnets in the pan? I guess I should find one and install it?

Thanks

The magnet is a good idea, it usually picks up all kinds of debris floating around in the fluid.

If you're energetic, go ahead and put one in there.

Yea usually there are supposed to be magnets in them. I have one in my th400. It should be a rectangle shape.
